SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Community

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency claimed it is alarmed regarding the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is due to the lack of infrastructure at website Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The service level designed for intervention ordeals a high influx of possible sassa beneficiaries, which makes it hard for that office to attend to all sassa status check people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to help the servicing of all prospects and increase usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
